Counseling is an integral part of the individual's educational endeavors. The Education Staff is committed to providing quality services and programs to active duty personnel, family members, retired military personnel, and civilian personnel. Professional guidance counselors staff three Education Centers and provide a full range of adult and continuing education counseling. Individual counseling is available during normal duty hours on a walk-in basis. Counselors are also available to visit units and provide briefings to soldiers and commanders on the education opportunities at Fort Bragg.
Tuition Assistance (TA) is available at all three education centers. For current information regarding the TA process, please contact one of the Education Centers below.

Services Offered:

Army Personnel Testing (ALCPT, AFCT, AFAST, DLAB, DLPT) are available in the Testing Center by appointment

ALC (Army Learning Centers) available at 3 locations, offering self-development activities, Internet access, study materials for various tests, and Army Correspondence Courses.

Comprehensive library services offering research & reference assistance, interlibrary loans, special tours/ programs for the entire family, limited tutorial assistance.

Army Learning Center Locations

The three Army Learning Centers (ALCs) on Fort Bragg are the primary source for self-developmental activities and are the main repositories for military publications. The ALCs also offer Army Correspondence Courses, study materials for various tests, Speed Reading Programs, NCO Career Maps, Internet access, thousands of computer-assisted instruction programs (free of charge), and miscellaneous educational/training study materials.

Academic Learning Center


Fort Bragg has one Academic Learning Center on post to meet the needs of soldiers and family members. This center is located in the back section of the John L. Throckmorton Library.

Testing Centers

The Education Services Division provides a wide variety of testing opportunities located in the eArmyU Education Testing Services building on the corner of Reilly Road and Macomb Street. The Fort Bragg Testing Center is located on the third floor of Building 2-1105. This center offers non-eArmyU testing/exams such as CLEP, DLPT, TABE, and EXCELSIOR.
Testing hours are generally Monday through Friday from 0845-1700 with some exceptions.

PROCTORING OF COLLEGE EXAMS

Computer Based Testing:
We do NOT administer computer-based tests…only paper-based. For computer-based testing, please call the eArmyU Testing Center.

College Correspondence Testing:
Exams proctored at 1245 Monday through Thursday by appointment only. Students must first give our proctor information to their college. Then the college sends us the exam. Once we have it in our possession, we can schedule an appointment for the test.



Soldier Development Center

The Soldier Development Center (SDC) is located in Bldg 2-1728 on Armistead Street. It is the location for commanders primary on-duty educational programs.
